John Francis Johnston

John Francis Johnston

Dr. John F. Johnston was born in 1900 in Cadiz, Indiana, a small town in central Indiana. In 1921, he graduated from Indiana Dental College, now known as the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Johnston was a prolific textbook author and world renowned lecturer. He chaired the IU School of Dentistry Crown and Bridge department throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Because he held to such high standards in clinical care, Johnston will long be remembered for not only setting but and maintaining IU's impeccable standard for clinical excellence.
