Bala G. Arshanapalli

Gallagher-Mills Chair of Business and Economics

Bala G. Arshanapalli

Bala Arshanapalli received his BA from Kakatiya University, India and an M.A. in Economics from University of Waterloo, Canada and his Ph.D. (Major Field Finance) from Northern Illinois University. He joined IUN in 1991 and became Gallagher-Mills Chair of Business and Economics in 2001.

His current research interest is in International and institutional Investments. His research interest includes empirical methods in financial time series modeling. Professor Arshanapalli's research has been published in many of the leading finance Journals. He is recognized as an outstanding teacher at both University of Bridgeport and Indiana University Northwest.

Professor Arshanapalli served on the editorial board of European Financial Management and International Journal of Operations and Quantitative Management. He has consulted and taught executive development classes for nationally recognized companies such as Sears, Roebuck and Company, Ibbotson and Associates, U.S. Steel, Unext.com and Ni Source.

In 2020, Arshanapalli was presented the Bicentennial Medal for his distinguished contributions to Indiana University.
