Dr. Sharon P. Andreoli is the Bryon P. and Frances D. Hollett Professor of Pediatrics and she is the Director of the division of Pediatric Nephrology at James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for Children. Dr. Andreoli has served as a Councilor and Secretary-Treasurer of the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology and she is currently the President of the ASPN. Dr. Andreoli has also served as a Councilor and Assistant Secretary for the International Pediatric Nephrology Association. Dr. Andreoli is currently serving on the Board of Kidney Disease: Improving global outcomes (KDIGO), and she has served as an Associate Editor of the American Journal of Kidney Diseases and she has served on the editorial boards of Kidney International, Pediatric Nephrology, and American Journal of Physiology: Renal, Fluid and Electrolyte. Dr. Andreoli is currently the Pediatric nephrology section Editor of Advances in Renal Replacement Therapy.
Dr. Andreoli's research interests include acute and chronic renal failure in children, the pathophysiology of hemolytic uremic syndrome and glomerular diseases including IgA nephropathy. She has received grants from the NIH, Baxter Healthcare Corporation, and Genentec.
