Katy Meadows

Mahlon Powell Professor - 2022

Katherine (Katy) Meadows earned her B.A. in philosophy and Ph.D. in philosophy from Stanford University in 2009 and 2017, respectively. She began her teaching career at Indiana University (IU) as an assistant professor in 2019. She also earned the title of Oscar R. Ewing Professor of Philosophy at IU. Prior to joining the IU faculty, Meadows served as the Stalnaker Postdoctoral Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2017 to 2019. Meadows’s study and specializations focus on ancient philosophy and metaphysics, epistemology, and feminist philosophy. Meadows has received numerous honors and awards throughout her professional career, including the Rutgers University Mellon Fellowship, Ric Weiland Fellowship in Humanities and Sciences, Centennial Teaching Assistant Award, Stanford Humanities Center Gerballe Dissertation Fellowship, College of Arts & Humanities Institute Conference Grant, and a Trustees Teaching Award from IU.
