John N. Eble
Nordschow Professor of Laboratory Medicine
Professor Eble received a B.S. from Indiana University in 1973, and M.D. from Indiana University in 1976. He trained in pathology at Indiana University Medical Center and joined the IU faculty in 1980. From 1981 to 2000 he was chief of pathology at the Roudebush VA Medical Center. In 1990 he was granted an M.B.A. by Indiana University. He was appointed Chairman of the School of Medicine's Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in 1999. At that time, he also was appointed Chief Pathologist of Clarian Health Partners (Methodist - IU - Riley). In 2000 he became the Nordschow Professor of Laboratory Medicine.
He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Urologic Pathology, official journal of the International Society of Urologic Pathology, from 1997 to 2000 and is presently Editor-in-Chief of Modern Pathology, official journal of the United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology. Dr. Eble has served three terms as Treasurer and was President of the International Society of Urologic Pathology, 2003-2005. In 2001, he was made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.
